The ego is the part of us that is not really us. It is the shield and protector that takes its job way too seriously. It began as a way to protect us when things go awry in our life so that we can continue to function and somehow it turns into fear, control and a barrier to our best humanity.
Becoming us, magnificent humans requires a clean out of the ego. If we let the ego continue to run us we can be lost forever and not too much fun or happy. The ego acts from fear, pain and the need to be right instead of truth, love and the best of us.
All of us have one and it is our job to give it less power and take back our life. When you have a lot of internal and/or external dialogue, anxiety, fear and the need to control everything it is time to breathe and get some support in coming back to you and peace.
No matter what has occurred in your life you can come back to a happy, peaceful life. Learning to face our self and life instead of acting out of ego has not often been taught and is a worthwhile journey.
Letting go of victim, good or bad, better or worse, making sure life goes according to plan, having others match your needs and much more are ego moves.
To live free at a higher level requires letting go of what fuels the ego and not participating in its controlling fear based behavior. To release the ego is to be free to be.
We are so used to the ego as part of us that we first must learn how to separate it out. We are love, light, joy, peace, beauty, truth, health, peace and happiness. Anything else is foreign to our nature and can be healed, detached and dismissed.
When you are no longer operating from ego and live from a true space of humanity you are free. Learning to untangle the knots of ego is a process of surrender and joy. To be living your true humanity is living in grace.
Life has real meaning and you do not get caught in drama and instead choose a life of meaning and connection. Disempowering the wounded controlling and defining ego is an important part of the spiritual journey to awakening.
It is important to have a mentor and friends on the journey to support your process of letting go and becoming. Some days it is very challenging and some days it is infinite bliss…and so is life.
Enjoy the Journey,
